We knew that an updated product was under development, but we did not know when Mutual Of Omaha would be back in the market with a product on their own paper. They just announced that it will be released in Missouri on Friday 03-17-2012.
Here is what we know at this time:
1. ONLY PLANS ""A"", ""F"" & ""G"" WILL BE OFFERED.
2. RATES FOR PLAN ""F"" -- AT MOST AGES AND ZIP CODES -- WILL BE LOWER THAN CURRENT UNITED OF OMAHA RATES 末 Here is a general breakdown by ages --
MALE AGE CHANGE FEMALE AGE CHANGE
65 + 3% 65 - 3%
70 - 15% 70 - 17%
75 - 15% 75 - 15%
80 - 5% 80 - 10%
85 + 2% 85 + 1%
NOTE - This is just an overview summary. SEE OUR WEBSITE FOR EXACT RATES!!! --- MUTUAL OF OMAHA Rates will be on the ""Med. Sup Quote Engine"", on our website after April 1st. (WEB-SITE 末 INSSPECIAL.COM ) Paper rates and application are now on the website.
3. NO NEW CONTRACTING WILL BE REQUIRED, if you are currently contracted with Mutual Of Omaha OR United Of United Of Omaha
4. UNITED OF OMAHA & UNITED WORLD POLICIES CAN BE REWRITTEN TO THE NEW MUTUAL OF OMAHA POLICY. NOTE - Basic Mutual Of Omaha Re-write rules will apply: A. AGENT ON NEW APPLICATION MUST BE SAME AS AGENT ON OLD POLICY TO RECEIVE COMMISSIONS ON NEW REWRITTEN POLICY
B. COMMISSIONS ON REWRITTEN POLICY WILL BE PAID AT 50% COMMISSION LEVEL ON CURRENT POLICY 末 (For example if the current
United Of Omaha policy is in renewal years and the commission is 9% 末 the commission level on the rewritten policy would be 4.5%).
Therefore, if you need to move a current client 末 it would be advantageous to move to another company for a year and then, if client wants, go back to Mutual of Omaha.
5. NEW MUTUAL OF OMAHA APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE A SIGNATURE DATE OF MARCH 17TH OR LATER.
6. UNITED OF OMAHA APPLICATIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE ACCEPTED FOR 60 DAYS AFTER MARCH 17TH.
7. THE NEW MUTUAL OF OMAHA POLICY WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER A 12% SPOUSAL DISCOUNT - SAME AS CURRENT UNITED OF OMAHA PLANS.
